Job Description:

This is a hall and kitchen staff position at Tempura Makino Shinjuku Mitsui Building, a Toridoll Group tempura restaurant in the basement of Shinjuku Mitsui Building in Nishi-Shinjuku, directly outside Tochomae Station on the Toei Oedo Line and about 5 minutes from Shinjuku Station. The restaurant operates an open kitchen with counter seating — staff fry tempura in front of guests, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere while keeping the role straightforward with clear frying-time manuals for each ingredient. Duties cover customer greeting, tempura cooking, cashier work using a touch-panel register, dishwashing (洗い場 araiba), and store cleaning — tasks are divided so you can start from the role that suits you best. A weekly shift system (シフト制 shifuto-sei) is in place with shifts from as little as 3 hours a day and 2 days a week; weekday-only and weekend-only arrangements are both available; weekday shifts run until 23:00 and weekend shifts until 21:30. Shifts after 22:00 on weekdays attract a deep-night premium (深夜手当 shinya-teate) of 25% — for applicants aged 18 and over only (Japanese labour law). JLPT N3 or equivalent conversational Japanese is required as the role involves Japanese-language customer service. A minimum contract period of 3 months applies.

Wage:

1,400円 (per hour) Late-night premium (深夜手当 shinya-teate): 25% increase after 22:00 on weekday shifts. Salary increases based on performance with a clear progression system. Bonus system available.
