Job Description:

This is a standing izakaya (立呑み居酒屋 tachinomi izakaya) where customers enjoy casual drinks and food in a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The concept focuses on being an easy place to stop for a first drink alone, attracting a wide range of regular customers of all ages. Hall staff greet customers, take drink orders, serve food, and handle the register (レジ reji); food orders are written by customers on paper slips, keeping the order-taking pressure low. Kitchen staff start with plating dishes and washing up (洗い場 araiba), gradually progressing to frying, grilling, and even breaking down whole fish for sashimi. No experience required (未経験歓迎 mikeiken-kangei) -- training (研修 kenshuu) and manuals are fully provided, with senior staff support throughout. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are available, and you can even try dishes you want to learn to cook. Shifts run on a shift system (シフト制 shifuto-sei): weekdays 14:00-23:30, weekends and public holidays 12:00-23:30; late-night work after 22:00 is for applicants aged 18 and over only (Japanese labour law, 例外事由2号). This is a completely non-smoking venue (完全禁煙 kanzen-kinnen). A minimum contract period of 3 months is required.
