Job Description:
Hall and kitchen staff role at Hanamaru Udon, a popular self-service udon chain restaurant located on the first floor of the Promenade East Zone shopping area in Sasebo, Nagasaki. Staff rotate across five positions: boiling noodles, frying tempura, topping and plating udon, washing dishes (using a dishwasher machine), and counter service including cashier and customer-facing duties. Because it is a self-service (セルフ方式) format, there is no heavy tray carrying — customers carry their own trays along the counter, keeping the physical demands light. New staff start by observing, then move to the plating position; a senior colleague works alongside you throughout until you are confident, and every task has a detailed manual for easy review. Shifts run within the 09:00 to 21:30 window on a shift system (シフト制 shifuto-sei), with a minimum of 3 hours per session from 1 day a week; weekend-only schedules and short daytime blocks are both welcome. Staff enjoy udon meals at a 70% discount (まかない makanai), and a daily payment (日払い hibarai) system lets you receive part of your earned wages before the regular payday.
