Job Description:
Hall and kitchen staff role at Ginza Favori, an authentic Belgian beer dining bar on the first floor of Ginza Ooi Building in Chuo-ku, Tokyo — 2 minutes walk from Ginza Itchome Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line. The bar stocks up to 120 varieties of Belgian and European craft beer depending on the season; hall staff serve drinks and food, pour and recommend beers to guests, and handle cashier duties — knowing all the beers is not required from day one, and there is no pressure to drink alcohol yourself. Kitchen staff handle mise en place, plating, and full cooking of European-style dishes; the cooking is done in-house from scratch, so kitchen staff genuinely develop cooking skills they can use at home. International customers visit regularly, making this an ideal environment for those who want to use English or other language skills on the job. Hall staff start at 1,300 yen per hour; those who can cover both hall and kitchen earn 1,400 yen per hour from the start — and a performance-based salary increase system has seen staff reach 1,800 yen per hour. Hall shifts run 18:00 to 23:00 and kitchen shifts run 16:00 to 23:00, with a minimum of 4 hours per session and 1 day per week; both Wワーク and single-job arrangements are welcome. Wages are paid in cash by hand (手渡し tewatashi).
