Job Description:
Kitchen cooking staff role at a restaurant in Takanawa, Minato-ku, Tokyo — 3 minutes walk from Shinagawa Station, placed through staffing agency LeafNxT. Kitchen duties are varied and require genuine cooking experience: filleting fresh fish, frying, grilling, and a range of other cooking techniques, as well as plating and presentation — this is a full cooking role, not an assistance position. Senior full-time staff and experienced part-time colleagues are available to support and teach, creating a collaborative kitchen environment where skills can be further developed. Two shift blocks are available within 12:00 to 22:30, each with a 60-minute break: a full block to 22:30 and a slightly shorter block to 21:30; the schedule can run any day of the week including weekends and public holidays with days chosen flexibly. A daily shift allowance of 800 yen is paid on top of the base hourly rate, and an advance payment system (前払い maebarai) lets you draw earned wages before the regular payday when needed, subject to company rules. Please note: at least 6 months of prior kitchen experience at another restaurant is required, and holding a culinary chef's licence (調理師免許 chourishi-menkyo) is also expected — this role is not open to beginners.
