Job Description:

This is a hall and kitchen role at Hassho, a well-known okonomiyaki (お好み焼き okonomiyaki) restaurant on Nagare-kawa Street in central Hiroshima, Hiroshima City. Hall duties include taking orders, serving food and drinks, and handling payment; kitchen duties include cooking support, plating, and drink preparation — new starters are not asked to cook okonomiyaki right away and begin with simple tasks first. The role also includes short bicycle deliveries in the local area (approximately 7 minutes one way), which rotate among staff. Two shift bands are available: an evening slot (17:00-22:00) at 1,200 yen per hour, and a late-night slot (22:00-02:00 / 22:00-03:00 / 00:00-03:00) at a higher rate including a late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate). Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday availability is particularly welcome, though weekday-only and weekend-only schedules are both accepted from as few as 2 days per week. Staff meals (まかない makanai) featuring the head chef's okonomiyaki are provided free of charge — a popular perk among the team. Daily payment (日払い hibarai) and cash-in-hand payment (手渡し tewatashi) are both available, and during busy periods such as Golden Week and year-end, wages can be paid in full by hand on the day. Wage:

1,200円～ (per hour) Late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) included in the night shift rate (22:00 onwards): effective rate 1,400 yen per hour and above. Training period rates: shift 1 (evening) 1,150 yen per hour for up to 3 months (extendable to 6 months); shift 2 (night) 1,450 yen per hour during training. Additional wage increase of 100 yen per hour during peak periods (Golden Week, Obon, year-end). Salary increases based on skills acquired.
