Job Description:

This is a school lunch preparation and kitchen support role at Tomioka City School Lunch Centre, operated by a specialist school foodservice company. You will assist with cooking preparation, including vegetable peeling and washing, as well as cleaning and sanitising food trays and containers using industrial washing equipment. Shifts run 08:00-15:00 in line with the school day, with virtually no overtime; you will finish in the early afternoon every day. The schedule follows the school calendar, meaning no work during Golden Week, summer holidays, winter holidays, or spring holidays. Around 80-90% of staff started with no prior experience, and full training (研修 kenshuu) is provided; a white coat (白衣 hakui) is issued as workwear. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are provided. Transportation allowance is paid in full for commutes of 2 km or more, up to 35,000 yen per month. Foreigners and international students are welcome; no qualifications are required.
