Job Description:

Sell and prepare bento boxes and deli dishes at a Tonkatsu Shinjuku Saboten counter inside a department store. The sales side covers greeting customers, explaining the products, arranging the display and handling the register, while the kitchen side covers making tonkatsu and katsu sandwiches to the original Saboten recipes and washing up. No cooking experience is needed because everything is taught from the beginning, and the specialist knowledge is useful at home too. Three shift patterns are available and hours and days can be discussed, including weekday only or weekend only schedules. Shift changes for school runs or family emergencies can be arranged, and staff returning after a long break have been welcomed here. Homemakers, students, freeters and staff in their 50s and 60s all work at this store, and the atmosphere is bright and sociable. Uniform (制服 seifuku) is lent, a 30 percent staff discount applies and tasting sessions are held. Training (研修 kenshuu) lasts one to three months at the same hourly rate.

Wage:

1,100円～1,200円 (per hour) High school students are paid from 1,068円 per hour. Training period of one to three months is paid at the same rate of 1,100円, or 1,068円 for high school students. Pay raises are available. No overtime.
