Job Description:

This is a cooking support role at Royal Residence Nishi-Omiya, a senior welfare facility in Saitama City's Nishi Ward, preparing and serving meals for residents as part of the HITOWA Food Service Company's "sumairu" meal programme. Duties include plating portioned meals, arranging trays for service, washing dishes after meals, and general kitchen cleaning -- all straightforward tasks that can be learned from the beginning with support from experienced staff. Almost all current staff started with no catering experience; a structured induction on day one plus a follow-up training session at 1 month ensure a smooth start. The shift runs from 08:30 to 14:30 (1 hour break; 5 hours actual work) on a minimum of 3 days per week, making it well-suited to homemakers and those returning to work after a break. Annual salary review, a twice-yearly bonus (increasing with length of service), and a full suite of social insurance and welfare benefits are provided including the Benefit Station programme with access to over 1.4 million services. Car and motorbike commuting are permitted; transport is fully covered for public transport users and for car commuters travelling 2km or more.
