Job Description:

This is a cooking role at a licensed nursery school in Chuo-ku, Saitama, operated by the Railway Welfare Foundation — a public interest foundation running multiple nurseries with shared quality standards. You will be responsible for all cooking duties including preparing and serving seasonal, home-style hot lunches and snacks for children, with an emphasis on warmth and nutritional balance. The foundation supports skill development for cooking licence holders through in-house training and access to approximately 160 correspondence courses. Shifts run from 08:00 to 16:00 or 08:30 to 16:30 (negotiable), 4 to 5 days per week, with almost no overtime and weekends and public holidays off — giving 120 or more annual holiday days. A welfare improvement allowance (処遇改善月例金) of 56 yen per actual working hour is paid on top of the base rate. Transport allowance (交通費 koutsuuhi) is paid in full. A cooking licence (調理師 chourishii) is required to apply.
