Job Description:
Hall and kitchen work at Shinpei, a new kushiage restaurant in Doyama-cho recruiting its first intake of staff. Staff cover both roles, with kitchen duties running from preparation through cooking to serving, and hall duties covering seating, taking orders and bringing out drinks and dishes. The restaurant sources premium ingredients from the market, so alongside cooking technique and customer service you learn how to judge ingredient quality. Everything starts with simple tasks like assisting, cutting and plating, taught by senior staff, so this works as a first job. Trainee chefs and culinary students are given particular preference. Shifts fall between 10:00 and 00:00 and are self-declared every two weeks, from one day a week and three hours a day. Staff who can commit to five or more days a week with five-hour shifts in the main 17:00 to 23:00 period earn 1,300 yen instead of the standard 1,200 yen. Wages can be paid in cash in hand (手渡し tewatashi) with weekly payment (週払い shuubarai) negotiable, staff meals (まかない makanai) are provided and hair style and colour are free.
