Job Description:
Work as hall and kitchen staff at a West Coast style bar and kitchen in Shimbashi. Hall duties are seating guests, taking orders, serving dishes and clearing empty glasses and plates. Kitchen duties are making drinks and simple cooking assistance. Manuals are provided so people with no experience pick things up easily, and on your first day you shadow a senior member of staff to learn ordering, drink making and table setting. The interior is stylish with a private room at the back, and there is a screen for watching sport while you work. Shifts run 15:00 to 23:00 from 3 hours a day and 1 day a week, submitted monthly, with no overtime and Sundays closed. Shift changes for exams, travel or sudden events can be arranged. Free staff meals (まかない makanai) such as pasta are provided, and wages can be paid in cash in hand (手渡し tewatashi). Hair colour, piercings, nails and tattoos are all fine, and a T-shirt uniform is lent to you. Foreign applicants need JLPT N1, a Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services status, or business-level Japanese, as the role involves customer service.
Wage:
1,350円~1,875円 (per hour)
Late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) after 22:00, giving 1,687円 per hour at the base rate. Pay rise system, with some current staff on 1,500円 and 1,875円 for late-night hours. Example monthly earnings: 78,300 yen plus transport for 2 days a week on the 15:00-23:00 shift. Wages can be paid in cash in hand.
