Hand Cash Izakaya Hall & Kitchen Staff Part Time Job at Otemachi Station 大手町駅 in Tokyo 1,450円
Please confirm workplace location, payment method, shifts, and interview conditions directly with the employer before applying.
Job Description:
Work as hall or kitchen staff at a charcoal-grill yakitori restaurant tucked away in a basement near Kanda. During service you serve dishes, make drinks, look after customers, work the register, wash up and assist with cooking. Prep staff handle opening preparation, cutting vegetables, preparing ingredients and getting the yakitori ready, and prep-only shifts are welcome. The team is small and the atmosphere is calm and Japanese-modern, not a chain restaurant rush, so you can chat with customers at your own pace. What is valued here is character rather than technique, so greeting people properly and taking the work seriously is what earns a pay rise, with one hall member on 1,700円 after seven years. Shifts run within 15:00 to 24:00 from 3 hours a day and 1 day a week, submitted monthly, with Sundays and public holidays closed and Saturdays sometimes off. Staff meals (まかない makanai) include soba, sashimi and small dishes. Wages are paid in cash in hand (手渡し tewatashi) once a month and transport allowance (交通費 koutsuuhi) covers up to 700 yen a day. Hair style and colour, tattoos, piercings and nails are all fine; an apron, T-shirt and shoes are lent to you and trousers are your own choice. JLPT N2 or equivalent Japanese is required for this role.
Wage:
1,450円~1,700円 (per hour)
Training period at 1,400円 for up to 3 months. Late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) of 25 percent extra after 22:00. Pay rise system reaching 1,700円. Small bonus for staff working 12 or more days a month, and for those able to work past the last train. Around 20,000 yen possible in a single long shift.
