Hotel Front Desk Part Time Job at Minami-Senju Station 南千住駅 in Tokyo 1,230円
Please confirm workplace location, payment method, shifts, and interview conditions directly with the employer before applying.
Job Description:
Work the front desk and handle light in-house duties at Hotel Accela in Nihonzutsumi, Taito-ku. Reception duties are check-in and check-out, guiding guests, answering the phone and confirming reservations. The second part of the job is room checks: closing windows, defrosting fridges, checking that fittings are in order, confirming the TV and air conditioning are on, checking for dust and light cleaning of the large bath. Morning shifts are mostly administrative with less customer contact than a typical front desk, so people with no experience start easily. There is no heavy lifting at all. Morning shifts run 06:00 to 12:00 or 06:00 to 15:00, and evening shifts run 15:00 to 24:00 or 19:00 to 24:00, from 4 hours a day and 2 days a week. Being available on at least one of Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday is a condition of hiring. A senior member of staff works beside you for the first few weeks, and most people handle everything alone within a month. Hair colour, nails and piercings are all free, transport allowance (交通費 koutsuuhi) is paid in full, and bicycle and motorbike commuting are permitted. High school students cannot apply, and there is an employment cut-off at 65.
Wage:
1,230円 (per hour)
Late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) of 25 percent extra. Overtime paid separately. Pay rise system based on effort and how well you pick up the work. Example monthly earnings: about 88,560 yen for mornings 3 days a week, 116,160 yen for evenings 2 days a week, or 82,320 yen for short evening shifts 3 days a week.
