Job Description:
Hall and kitchen work at Izakaya Kei, a restaurant serving Okumino and Hida regional dishes and local sake. The interior has a warm, calm old farmhouse feel, and customers are mainly salarymen on weekdays and travellers or regulars at weekends. Hall duties cover taking orders, serving and register work, while kitchen duties cover simple cooking and dishwashing. You start with easy plating and move on to grilling yakitori once you are used to it, taught one to one from the beginning. Eleven staff work here, half students and half people doing second jobs, so the team is close in age and used to helping each other. Shifts run between 17:00 and 01:00, from 2 days a week and 3 hours a day, and exam periods and last train times are taken into account. Weekend-only and Saturday, Sunday and public holiday-only schedules are possible, and people who can work Friday and Saturday are especially welcome. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are provided and hair colour is free.
Wage:
1,200円~1,500円 (per hour) Late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) brings the rate to 1,500円 per hour. Training period (研修 kenshuu) is paid at 1,100円 per hour. Pay raises based on performance, with some staff on 1,350円 per hour. Monthly earnings are around 72,000円 for 3 days a week at 5 hours a day, or around 192,000円 for 5 days a week at 8 hours a day.
