Job Description:
Hall work at Shimbashi Bar Yokka, an independent dining bar five minutes from Shimbashi Station. Duties include seating customers, taking orders, serving food and drinks, handling payments at the register, clearing and cleaning. Starting out, a smile and a proper greeting are enough, and other staff teach you everything from the beginning. Customers are mainly regulars and people from nearby offices, so there is plenty of conversation about food and drink. Being an independent bar gives the place a relaxed feel, and staff meals (まかない makanai) are included. Opening hours are 17:30 to 23:30 and shifts run 18:00 to 23:30, from 2 days a week and 3 hours a day, submitted monthly. Pay rises come quickly against clear criteria: reliable attendance, good communication with customers and being able to explain the menu. Wages are paid in cash in hand (手渡し tewatashi), transport is fully covered, and hair colour, nails, piercings and beards are all free.
Wage:
1,400円~1,750円 (per hour) Shifts from 22:00 are paid at 25 percent above the base rate, giving 1,750円 per hour. Training period of around 1 to 2 months is paid at 1,300円 per hour. The starting rate is set according to experience and skill. Pay rises are possible within a month for staff who attend reliably, communicate well with customers and can explain the menu.
