Job Description:
Lunchtime hall and kitchen work at Ramen Fukuro, a small 14-seat ramen shop one minute from Asakusabashi Station. The job is a simple three-step cycle: take the meal ticket and pass the order through, carry the ramen out, then clear and wash the bowls. Between orders you refill water, load the dishwasher and make drinks. You do not degrease the sink, boil noodles or handle the soup and toppings, as the owner does all of that. There is no register work because the shop uses a ticket machine, so there are no cash-handling mistakes. Customers are salarymen on weekday lunchtimes and women and families at weekends. The shop was recently renovated and the owner, who trained at a well-known Hokkaido ramen restaurant, teaches everything slowly from scratch. A different free staff meal (まかない makanai) is served each day, and wages are paid in cash in hand (手渡し tewatashi).
Wage:
1,400円 (per hour)
Pay raises at the owner's discretion based on your work. Monthly earnings example of 44,800円 for 4 hours a day, 2 days a week.
