Job Description:

This is a hall and kitchen staff role at Uotami Ebisu Nishiguchi Ekimae, a lively izakaya chain restaurant in the basement of Ebisu Aback Building in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, a 4-minute walk from Ebisu Station. Hall staff guide guests to their seats, deliver food and drinks, handle payments, and prepare simple drinks including draft beer. Customers order via tablet or QR self-order system, so verbal order-taking is minimal. Kitchen staff start with dishwashing and simple plating, then progress to basic preparation and cooking assistance — knife skills are taught from scratch. The shift runs 17:00 to 04:00 (overnight), making late-night and early-morning hours a regular part of this role. A late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) applies from 22:00 onward, bringing the rate to approximately 1,625 yen. High school students are welcome but must finish by 22:00 (Japanese labour law). Work in the smoking room is limited to applicants aged 20 and over. Advance payment (前払い maebarai) is available and wages are calculated to the minute. Staff meals are available at 50% off the menu price (まかない makanai). Hair colour and nail polish are permitted; one small earring per ear is allowed for hall staff only.
