Job Description:

This is a hall and kitchen staff role at Uotami Akihabara Chuo-dori (Horumon), a lively izakaya chain specialising in horumon grilled offal on the 7th floor of Hulic Akihabara Chuo-dori Building, a 5-minute walk from Akihabara Station in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. Hall staff guide guests to their seats, deliver food and drinks, handle payments, and prepare simple drinks including draft beer. Customers order via tablet or QR self-order system, so verbal order-taking is minimal. Kitchen staff start with dishwashing and simple plating, then progress to basic preparation and cooking assistance — knife skills are taught from scratch. Shift (1) runs 12:00 to 04:00 (overnight), making late-night and early-morning hours a regular part of this role. A late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) applies from 22:00 onward. Shift (2) runs 12:00 to 15:00 for lunchtime hours (Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays only for lunch). High school students are welcome. Work in the smoking room is limited to applicants aged 20 and over (Japanese labour law). Advance payment (前払い maebarai) is available and wages are calculated to the minute. Staff meals are available at 50% off (まかない makanai). A training period (研修 kenshuu) applies at 1,226 yen, rising to 1,300 yen on completion.
