Job Description:

This is a hall and kitchen staff role at Marugame Seimen SUNAMO, a popular udon chain (うどん屋 udon-ya) on the fourth floor of the SUNAMO shopping centre in Koto ward, Tokyo, a 5-minute walk from Minamisunacho Station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line. The shift window runs from 08:00 to 22:00, covering a full daytime and evening range with no overnight work required. Kitchen duties include boiling and plating udon to order, preparing tempura and onigiri to recipe, monitoring and restocking trays and plates during busy periods, and dishwashing using an industrial machine; hall duties include handing orders across the counter with brief customer interaction, register operation, and tray collection. No experience is required -- step-by-step training (研修 kenshuu) and a full task manual are provided so newcomers and those returning after a break can start from a position that suits their strengths. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are available at 120 yen per meal up to 800 yen worth of food, and a family canteen card provides up to 10,000 yen per month for employees with children aged 15 and under. Transport allowance is paid up to 50,000 yen per month; motorbike commuting is permitted with fuel costs reimbursed within company guidelines. A minimum contract of 3 months is expected, with shift days and hours negotiable on a weekly basis. This role requires JLPT N1 level or native-equivalent Japanese for customer service interaction.
