Job Description:

This is a night-shift parcel sorting role at a Sagawa Express (佐川急便 Sagawa Kyuubin) distribution facility in Shinkiba, Koto ward, Tokyo, a 5-minute walk from Shinkiba Station on the JR Keiyo Line, Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line, and Rinkai Line. Work involves checking the address and tracking number on each incoming parcel and sorting by delivery destination within the Sumida ward area; items range from small mail pieces to larger cardboard boxes. The single overnight shift runs from 22:00 to 07:00 (actual working hours 8 hours after a 60-minute break), with the statutory deep-night premium (深夜手当 shinya-teate) of 25% applying from 22:00 to 05:00 and bringing the rate to 1,625 yen per hour for those hours. Shifts are available Monday through Saturday; as few as 2 days per week is accepted, making this well suited to second-job workers or those with flexible availability. Daily payment (日払い hibarai) is available from the day after each shift via smartphone; weekly and advance payment are also available. The workplace is described as friendly and collaborative; work gloves and safety shoes are provided, and a lockable locker and changing room are on site.
