Job Description:

This is a hall staff role at Shimbashi Ippashi, a popular izakaya (居酒屋 izakaya) in the basement of Ichimatsu Building in Shimbashi, Tokyo -- a 2-minute walk from Shimbashi Station -- which has been selected as a Tabelog Top 100 Restaurant four times. Hall duties include guiding guests to seats, confirming and delivering orders, clearing tables, table setup, preparing drinks, dishwashing, and register operation; the menu is kept compact for ease of learning. A core time (コアタイム koatagmu) of 18:30-21:30 applies -- all staff must be available during this window as a condition of employment; shifts can be arranged freely outside this window between 11:00 and 23:30. Submitted shifts are guaranteed to go through (provided the core time condition is met), making this unusually reliable for scheduling -- more efficient than juggling multiple jobs elsewhere. The training wage is 1,300 yen per hour for approximately 60 hours; the standard rate rises to 1,500 yen per hour after training; prep work is also paid at 1,300 yen per hour. Cash-in-hand payment (給与手渡し kyuuryo tewatashi) is available; transportation expenses are fully reimbursed. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are substantial -- examples include 500g hamburger steak and triple-serve pork cutlet; takeaway of unfinished portions is permitted. Foreign nationals require JLPT N1 level or above (or N2 for international students, or eligible visa status).
