Job Description:

You will work as hall staff at Jittoku (十徳), a long-established izakaya in Nishi-Shinjuku that has been serving guests for over 40 years, known for carefully sourced regional ingredients and sake that the owner personally selects from across Japan. Duties include taking orders and serving food and drinks in a calm, character-filled interior featuring sake barrel-lid tabletops - hospitality is the priority and you are fully supported as a beginner. Two rate options apply: ① 1,400 yen/hour for those who can handle cashier (reji レジ) duties and contribute actively to the shift schedule; ② 1,350 yen/hour standard. Both rise with demonstrated effort and commitment. Shift window is 17:30-23:00; minimum 1 day per week with even weeks with 0 days acceptable when needed. The store is open Tuesday to Sunday (closed Mondays). Staff meals (makanai まかない) are provided free of charge using the owner's premium seasonal ingredients. Monthly cash-in-hand pay (tewatashi 手渡し). Bicycle parking costs reimbursed. A 30-day training period applies at 1,300 yen/hour. A resume with photo is requested at interview (unlike many listings in this area).
