Job Description:
This is a hall staff role at Shinbashi Ippashi, a popular izakaya (居酒屋 izakaya) in the basement of Ichimatsu Building in Minashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo, 2 minutes walk from Shinbashi Station - a food-lovers venue selected four times for Tabelog's Top 100 list, serving seasonal fish and Japanese dishes. Tasks include seating and guiding guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, clearing tables, making drinks, dishwashing, table setup, and cashier operation. The menu is manageable in size and easy to learn, with senior staff always on hand to help. A core time of 18:30-21:30 is required for all shifts; outside of this, you can choose your hours freely within the 11:00-23:30 window from a minimum of 3 hours per day. Submitted shifts are guaranteed to be approved - if you submit it, you work it. Cash in hand (手渡し tewatashi) wage payment available. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are provided in generous portions and are well-regarded. Transport allowance (交通費 koutsuuhi) is fully covered. Hair colour, piercings, and facial hair are accepted within store guidelines. No resume required. Note for foreign nationals: JLPT N1 is required for those without permanent residency; international students holding N2 or above with eligible visa status are also welcome.
Wage:
1,300円 (per hour) Post-training standard rate: 1,500円/hr (after approx. 60-hour training period). Prep work rate: 1,300円/hr. Salary increase based on performance evaluation by store manager.
