Job Description:
This is a kitchen staff role at Yayoi-ken (やよい軒), a popular Japanese set-meal chain in Tatebayashi, Gunma, with over 350 locations in Japan and presence in 8 countries. Work covers food preparation, cooking teishoku (定食 teishoku) menu items including stir-fry, grilled, and fried dishes, plating, serving preparation, dishwashing, and kitchen cleaning. Knife use is minimal, and detailed manuals are provided for every task, so no cooking experience is needed to get started. Three shift bands are available — early morning, daytime, and evening/night — though the early morning slot is weekends only, and daytime and evening shifts require availability on at least one weekend day per week. Late-night shifts (深夜 shinya) from 22:00 onward receive a higher rate of 1,338円 per hour, and weekend shifts earn an extra 50円/hour bonus. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are available at 400円 per meal from the menu.
