Job Description:

Work as kitchen staff at Hamayuu Kakamigahara, a sit-down Chinese restaurant serving authentic dishes in Kakamigahara City, Gifu Prefecture. New kitchen staff begin with ingredient preparation and dishwashing, then progress to cooking and plating as they grow confident. Eventually, full Chinese cooking is taught — wok work, knife skills, and restaurant-level dishes. Manuals guide each step, and senior staff cook meals alongside new starters to teach techniques in a relaxed, practical way. One staff member recalls learning to make dan dan noodles from scratch despite having no prior cooking experience. Shifts start from 3 hours and 1 day a week, with a monthly shift schedule that can be adjusted around school, club activities, or test periods. Weekend-only schedules are also possible. Short-term contracts of about one month are welcome alongside long-term placements. Staff meals (まかない makanai) of popular restaurant-menu Chinese dishes are available. High school students receive the same hourly rate as adult staff.

Wage:

1,150円 (per hour) Weekend and public holiday bonus: +100 yen/hour (= 1,250 yen/hour). Busy-period rate further increased. Salary increases (昇給 shoushou). High school students receive same rate as adults.
