Job Description:

This is a hall and kitchen staff role at Uoen Takasaki, a newly opening izakaya (居酒屋 izakaya) blending Japanese, seafood, and Italian flavours, set across three floors in central Takasaki, due to open in November 2026. As an opening-round hire, you start at the same level as everyone else — no established hierarchy to navigate and no existing cliques to worry about. Hall duties include pre-opening cleaning, welcoming guests, serving food and drinks, making drinks, running the register, and closing duties. Orders are placed by customers via tablet, so there is no need to take orders tableside. Shifts (シフト制 shifuto-sei) are submitted every two weeks and are flexible — from 3 hours a shift and 2 days a week, making it easy to fit around studies or other jobs. Free staff meals (まかない makanai) are provided. While working, you can also pick up practical skills in knife work, cocktail preparation, and knowledge of fish, meat, and cheese. The late-night rate applies from 22:00 onwards (25% premium). Shifts ending at 24:00 cross midnight, so some shifts involve working past midnight.

Wage:

1,200円 (per hour) Late-night rate (22:00 onwards): 25% premium above base (approx. 1,500円). Salary increase available; restaurant experience may lead to higher starting rate.
