Job Description:

This is a kitchen support role at a Hokkaido-sourced izakaya (居酒屋 izakaya) restaurant in central Sapporo, 2 minutes from Sapporo subway station. Work takes place entirely in the kitchen (厨房 chuuryou) with no customer-facing duties, making it well suited to those who prefer to work quietly and independently. Main tasks include plating dishes, basic vegetable prep and mise-en-place (仕込み shikomi), assisting with frying and grilling, replenishing ingredients, washing dishes and cookware, and keeping the kitchen clean. New starters begin with simple tasks such as plating and washing up; knife skills and cooking techniques are taught gradually by senior colleagues during the 40-hour training period (研修 kenshuu). The available shift window runs from 09:30 to 00:00 midnight; you choose any block of at least 3 hours within that window on as few as 1 day per week, with weekly schedules submitted in advance. Daily payment (日払い hibarai), weekly payment (週払い shuubarai), and advance payment (前払い maebarai) are all available. A staff meal (まかない makanai) is provided for just 200 yen per meal, and all staff receive a 10% dining discount across all company-operated restaurants. Shifts after 22:00 are available for applicants aged 18 and over only, in accordance with Japanese labour law.

Wage:

1,131円～ (per hour) Salary increase of 10 to 30 yen per month based on monthly performance evaluation (five-tier system; application submitted by the 10th of each month, reflected in pay from the following month).
