Job Description:
This is a hall and kitchen role at Kuraya, a modern private-room izakaya (居酒屋 izakaya) specialising in Joshu beef (上州牛) and a wide selection of whisky, located 1 minute from Takasaki Station in Gunma. Hall duties include seating guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, collecting tableware, and handling payment; kitchen duties include cooking, plating salads, cutting meat, and washing dishes — no prior experience is needed as tasks are straightforward and taught by senior staff. Two shift options are available: a full evening-to-late-night slot (15:00-03:30 the following morning) for those who want to maximise earnings, and a shorter daytime slot (14:00-18:00) suited to students after class; minimum commitment is 1 day per week and 3 hours per shift. The late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) of 25% applies from 22:00 onwards, bringing the hourly rate to 1,500 yen or above for those hours. Friday, Saturday, and day-before-public-holiday availability is particularly welcome, though weekday-only and weekend-only schedules are also accepted. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are provided free of charge every day, with dishes made to staff requests by the kitchen team. Note: the listing headline states no resume is required for the interview, but the application section asks applicants to bring a photo resume on the day — please confirm with the store directly when applying. Shifts after 22:00 are for applicants aged 18 and over only, in accordance with Japanese labour law.
