Job Description:

This is a manufacturing support and packing role at a long-established Kyoto wagashi and Western confectionery factory in Fushimi Ward, handling rice crackers (せんべい senbei) sold at department stores and tourist sites across the region, placed through a staffing agency (派遣 haken). Two main tasks rotate throughout the shift: feeding freshly baked crackers two at a time into a wrapping machine and collecting, inspecting, and sorting the auto-wrapped products into containers; and receiving hot crackers from the oven, transporting them to the cooling area, and letting them cool down before they go to the next stage. Both tasks are simple and repetitive with no complicated skills required; senior staff will teach you from day one and those who have never worked in a factory before are very welcome. The shift runs fixed daytime hours (09:00-18:00) with a one-hour break and virtually no overtime, so each day finishes on time; weekends and one weekday are off each week. Overtime beyond 8 actual working hours is paid at 1,563円 per hour. An advance payment system (前渡し maebarashi) is available for urgent needs under company rules; a referral bonus of up to 30,000円 per person is also available. Car, motorbike, and bicycle commuting are all permitted; a bus stop (京阪バス深草谷口町) is about 3 minutes walk from the workplace.
