Job Description:
Work as a kitchen assistant in the staff canteen at Rusutsu Resort (ルスツリゾート), a major resort complex in Rusutsu-mura, Hokkaido, supporting the resort's own staff with daily meals rather than serving outside guests. Duties include plating and serving food at the counter, vegetable washing, cutting, and prep work (仕込み shikomi), dishwashing using an industrial machine (食洗機 shokusenki), table cleaning, and restocking condiments and supplies in the kitchen. No customer-facing stress -- the people you serve are fellow resort staff from all departments, so the atmosphere is relaxed and collegial; you will quickly get to know a wide network of people across the resort. Shifts are assigned within a 05:00 to 24:00 window with 8 hours of actual work per day; both early-morning and evening slots are available. Live-in dormitory accommodation (寮 ryou) with utilities and Wi-Fi included is provided, and a round-trip travel allowance of up to 40,000 yen is paid. Daily payment (日払い hibarai) is available under company rules. Rusutsu stays cool at 20-25 degrees Celsius even in summer, making it a comfortable resort working environment.
