Job Description:
Make bread for the restaurants, banquets and shops of a prestigious hotel in the Minatomirai area of Yokohama. Duties cover the whole process: mixing and preparing dough, shaping on the bench, baking in the oven and finishing. You also handle sheeter work, stock management and ordering, waste control and hygiene management to hotel standards. A typical early shift starts at 06:00 with hygiene checks and dough preparation, moves to shaping and baking from 08:00, breaks for lunch at 11:00, covers next-day preparation and stock work from 12:00, and finishes with cleaning and handover by 14:30. Two shifts are available, 06:00 to 14:30 and 01:00 to 09:30, both with 7.5 hours of actual work and a 60 minute break. You work from 3 days a week, so second jobs are possible, and there is a staff canteen, break room and personal locker. Transport allowance (交通費 koutsuuhi) is paid up to 30,000 yen a month and a uniform (制服 seifuku) is lent to you. Many guests come from overseas for tourism and business, so the environment is international. Three years or more of bread shaping experience at a boulangerie or hotel is required.
Wage:
1,700円～1,800円 (per hour)
Transport allowance up to 30,000 yen per month paid on top of the hourly rate.
