Job Description:
Hall and kitchen work at Bishamon, an independent izakaya three minutes from Hon-Atsugi Station. Hall duties cover seating customers, serving food, clearing tables and making drinks, while kitchen duties cover simple cooking, prep and washing up. The restaurant expects staff to act on their own initiative rather than wait to be told, and speaking up with ideas is encouraged. Customers are mainly working adults and the atmosphere is calm and grown-up rather than boisterous. Pay rises follow clear criteria: learning enough about drinks to explain the menu, or passing the kitchen plating test, each raises your rate. Shifts run 17:00 to 00:00, from 4 days a week and 4 to 8 hours a day, submitted twice a month by LINE. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are included and you make them yourself from leftover ingredients. Hairstyle, hair colour, beards, nails and piercings are all free, though the restaurant is strict about greetings and attitude to the work.

Pay rises are given against clear criteria, such as being able to explain the drinks menu to customers or passing the kitchen plating test. Trial period of 3 months.
