Job Description:
This is a hall or kitchen role at Shoya, a popular izakaya chain part of the Daisho group, located two minutes on foot from JR Okayama Station in the basement and ground floor of a building near the station. Hall staff handle order-taking, dish serving, table clearing, and dishwashing; kitchen staff start with plating and cooking assistance and learn knife skills and prep work step by step — no prior experience required. Shifts run from 16:00 to 02:00 on Fridays, Saturdays, and public holiday eves, with a late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) of 25% on top of the base rate from 22:00 onwards. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are available at 300 yen per meal from the kitchen's own menu — a genuine perk given the food quality. A bonus scheme (大入手当) pays out when the store hits its sales target for the day — an extra on top of your hourly rate. From as little as one day a week and three hours per shift, with a two-week schedule cycle and supportive shift adjustments for students, artists, musicians, and anyone juggling other commitments. Short-term and long-term both welcome. No resume needed.
