Job Description:

This is a kitchen support role at Hanamaimai Sanuki (はなの舞佐貫店), an izakaya (居酒屋 izakaya) chain restaurant in Ryugasaki, Ibaraki, operated by Chimney Co., Ltd. Kitchen duties include plating dishes, cutting vegetables and other basic food prep, assisting with frying and grilling, restocking and managing ingredients, washing dishes and kitchen equipment, and cleaning the kitchen. There is no customer-facing service — all work is behind the scenes, so it suits those who prefer to work quietly and focus on tasks. Training (研修 kenshuu) includes 40 hours of instruction with step-by-step lesson videos, and beginners start with plating and dishwashing before gradually building skills. Shifts run within the 13:00-00:00 window from as little as 3 hours per shift, and weekly shift requests are submitted 10 days in advance; adjustments for study, family, or personal commitments are flexible. Late shifts from 22:00 onwards are restricted to applicants aged 18 and over (Japanese labour law). Daily payment (日払い hibarai), weekly payment (週払い shuubarai), and advance payment (前払い maebarai) are all available. A staff meal (まかない makanai) costs just 200円 per shift; a 10% dining discount is available at all group restaurants and can be used with family and friends.
