Job Description:
This is a hall and kitchen staff position at Marugame Seimen Fujieda, a popular udon and tempura chain restaurant in Fujieda, Shizuoka. Duties are divided into clear, manageable sections: hall clearing and cleaning, dishwashing, cashier, and cooking udon, tempura, and rice dishes. The workplace has a warm team atmosphere with staff ranging from their teens to their 60s, and a thorough training (研修 kenshuu) system with full recipe manuals means complete beginners can start confidently. Shifts are flexible — weekday only, weekend only, short daytime slots, or evening shifts are all available and negotiable, with a weekly self-declared shift system (シフト制 shifuto-sei). Late-night shifts from 22:00 onwards receive a 25% wage premium (深夜手当 shinya-teate) on top of the base rate. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are available for just 120 yen per meal up to 800 yen worth of food, and there is a family meal support scheme providing up to 10,000 yen per month per child for staff with children aged 15 and under.
