Job Description:
Work as hall staff at Komacchu Ogikubo, a popular locally-rooted izakaya (居酒屋 izakaya) just 3 minutes walk from Ogikubo Station in Suginami ward, Tokyo, known for its daily fresh fish and meat dishes and a full afternoon-to-midnight operation. Hall duties include seating customers, taking orders, and serving food and drinks — prior food service experience is welcomed and will earn higher pay, though first-timers are also welcome and taught from scratch. Shifts run from 14:00 through to midnight in flexible blocks from just 4 hours and 1 day a week — end times are adjusted to consider the last train, and early departure requests (e.g. 17:00 entry, leaving before midnight) can be arranged in advance. Night shifts from 22:00 earn a 25% deep-night premium (深夜手当 shinya-teate), reaching approximately 1,625 yen/hour. Cash-in-hand payment (手渡し tewatashi) is available — no bank transfer fees deducted. Free staff meals (まかない makanai) are provided every shift, sometimes with menu requests taken from the team. Wednesday is the regular day off.
