Job Description:

This is a hall staff role at 十津川 (Totsukawa), a small reservation-only Japanese cuisine restaurant in Nakayamate-dori, Kobe, just 5 minutes walk from Sannomiya Station on the JR and Hankyu lines. The restaurant seats just 8 at the counter and has one tatami room, run by an owner-chef (大将 taisho), his wife (女将 okami), and their son — creating a genuinely family-like atmosphere where long-serving staff are treated as part of the household. Hall duties include welcoming and seeing off guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, preparing simple drinks such as beer and highball, and table clearing and light dishwashing. Because the restaurant is fully reservation-based, the customer base is made up almost entirely of regular guests — a calm and unhurried environment well suited to those making their first dining industry application. A roughly two-week training (研修 kenshuu) period at 1,150円 per hour applies first, with daily payment available during training; the standard rate rises to 1,200円, and regular staff working four or more days per week receive 1,300円 per hour. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are prepared using the same fresh, directly-sourced ingredients served to guests — described by the team as the best in Japan — along with pre-shift snacks such as bread and desserts. Pay can be received by cash in hand (手渡し tewatashi) or bank transfer at month end; hair colour and nails are freely allowed within reasonable limits.
