Job Description:

This is a lunchtime kitchen staff role at Is this UMAMI?, a new taco and fusion lunch restaurant opening in Maizuru, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka, 5 minutes walk from Akasaka Station on the Fukuoka City Subway Kuko Line. All work takes place between 10:00 and 15:00 — a focused 5-hour block covering prep, cooking through the lunch peak, and kitchen cleaning, with a firm 15:00 finish and no overtime. Duties include preparing and cooking tacos and other lunch dishes, ingredient prep and mise en place, drink preparation, kitchen cleaning, and contributing ideas for new menu items if desired — staff are actively invited to propose dishes and plating concepts. An approximately 80-hour training (研修 kenshuu) period applies; a joining bonus of 10,000円 is paid on completion, and a friend referral bonus of 5,000円 per person is available after 1 month of continuous service. Sales bonuses are paid directly to staff when their cooking and ideas contribute to store revenue growth; salary increases are made on an ongoing basis based on skill and initiative. Hair colour, nails, piercings, beard, and tattoos are all fully permitted — no dress restrictions of any kind apply in this kitchen. Pay can be received by cash in hand (手渡し tewatashi); free staff meals (まかない makanai) of the restaurant's taco menu are provided; social insurance is covered for qualifying hours.

Wage:

1,200円 (per hour) Rate rises based on skill and contribution (example: 1,300円/hr for experienced staff). Sales bonus paid for revenue contributions. Joining bonus 10,000円 after training completion (approximately 80 hours). Friend referral bonus 5,000円 per referral after 1 month.
