Job Description:

This is a Japanese deli cooking role in the backyard kitchen of Osaka Takashimaya department store in Namba, Chuo-ku, Osaka, 1 minute walk from Namba Station on the Nankai Line, preparing traditional home-style side dishes (お惣菜 osouzai) for the depachika (デパ地下 depachika) food floor. Tasks include cooking fried and grilled dishes, simmered favourites such as nikujaga (meat and potato stew) and hijiki seaweed, fish teriyaki, and portioning and plating bento boxes - all well-known home cooking staples with familiar recipes. Work is carried out in a team of approximately 3 staff in the department store backyard kitchen; no prior department store experience is required, but some cooking experience in any setting is needed. The shift runs fixed morning hours from 07:00-16:00 (8 hours actual work, 60-minute break), finishing by 16:00 so evenings are free. Work is available 4-5 days per week including weekends and holidays. Daily payment (日払い hibarai) available through Dimple. Transport allowance (交通費 koutsuuhi) fully covered.
