Job Description:
This is a cooking specialist staff role at Lawson Seibu-Shinjuku Station North Exit, located directly at Seibu-Shinjuku Station in Kabukicho, Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, near the Lawson Machikado Kitchen (まちかど厨房 machikado-chuuryou) in-store kitchen concept. Your duties are preparing bento boxes, onigiri rice balls, sandwiches, and other fresh food items in the store kitchen, then stocking them onto the display shelves for sale — a focused cooking role rather than a general counter position. Training (研修 kenshuu) is provided from day one with senior staff support, so applicants with no cooking or food preparation experience are very welcome. Multiple shift patterns are available including daytime, evening, and overnight options; weekday-only and weekend-only schedules are both accepted, with shifts from 3 hours a day and 2 days a week. Late-night shifts carry a higher rate of 1,600円 from 22:00 onward. Late-night shifts (22:00-05:00) are for applicants aged 18 and over only (Japanese labour law). Transport allowance is fully covered. Social insurance and a qualification acquisition subsidy are provided.
