Job Description:
This is a hall and kitchen support role at a hybrid Japanese dining restaurant in Kyoto's Shimogyo ward, 1 minute on foot from Shijo Station — at lunch it serves authentic 100% buckwheat soba for 500 yen, and in the evening transforms into a creative izakaya using locally sourced Kyoto ingredients. Hall duties include seating guests, taking orders, serving dishes, and register operation; kitchen duties cover plating and basic cooking assistance. The role is a temp-to-perm placement: after a minimum 6-month dispatch period, staff may transition to full-time employment by mutual agreement (monthly salary from 210,000 yen, with salary increase and bonus). Shifts run from midday to evening (11:00-20:00 or 14:00-22:00); start times are relaxed as the restaurant trades later in the day. Hair colour, nail art, and casual dress are permitted; language skills are not required but welcome if you want to practise with international guests.
