Job Description:
This is a hall and kitchen staff role at Oryori Katsuno, a traditional Japanese kaiseki-style restaurant in the historic Pontocho district of Kyoto, a 2-minute walk from Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line. The 30-seat restaurant (10 counter seats on the first floor, 20 table seats on the second floor) welcomes a mix of young women, couples, group bookings, and foreign visitors; orders are taken via a smartphone-style tablet, making the process simple even for first-time staff. Duties include taking orders, seating and guiding guests, serving food, clearing tables, and dishwashing — all taught step by step with genuine attention to hospitality etiquette and seasonal food knowledge. Shifts run between 17:00 and 23:00 with a minimum of 4 hours per shift; start time is flexible (as late as 20:00) and finish time can be adjusted to match train schedules. Weekend and holiday rates are 1,300円-1,500円/hour; a deep-night premium (深夜手当 shinya-teate) applies from 22:00. A "Nikoniko Teate" (ニコニコ手当) customer satisfaction bonus of 2,500円 is awarded each time a guest compliments a staff member by name. Pay is in cash on the day (手渡し tewatashi); foreign applicants require JLPT N2 or above.

1,200円 (per hour)
Weekend and public holiday rate: 1,300円-1,500円/hour (+100円 weekend premium). Deep-night allowance applies from 22:00 (statutory 1.25x). Customer satisfaction bonus (ニコニコ手当): 2,500円 per compliment (rules apply). Salary increase: +50円 per step based on ability. Completion bonus: 10,000円 after finishing training period (1-3 months).
