Job Description:
This is a hotel room inspection and cleaning role at Hyatt Place Kyoto, directly connected to Marutamachi Station (Exit 6) on the Kyoto Municipal Subway Karasuma Line — a stylish international hotel near Nijo Castle and Kyoto Imperial Palace. The main role is post-cleaning room inspection (客室チェック kyakushitsu-chekku): entering cleaned rooms to verify that no rubbish has been missed, no hair has been left behind, and that all amenities have been correctly restocked. You will also assign rooms to cleaning staff based on checkout status, coordinating the sequence of the cleaning team's work. New starters begin with actual room cleaning — bathroom, toilet, bed-making, and rubbish removal — before moving up to the inspection and coordination role, so prior cleaning experience is not required. There is no direct guest interaction, making this an ideal step for those looking to move away from customer-facing roles. Two shift options: ① 10:00-15:00 (4.5 hours, for cleaning newcomers) and ② 09:00-16:15 (6.5 hours, for experienced checkers). Weekend and public holiday shifts earn 1,250 yen (training) or 1,400 yen (standard) — 100 yen above the equivalent weekday rate.
