Job Description:
This is a hall staff role at Sumibide Toriya (炭火deとりや), a charcoal-grilled yakitori restaurant in Omori, Ota ward, Tokyo, just 3 minutes walk from Omori Station on the Keihin-Tohoku / Negishi Line. The restaurant uses QR code ordering — guests place orders via their own smartphones — so there is no risk of order errors and the hall role focuses entirely on serving completed dishes and keeping the atmosphere warm and friendly. The manager handles all the cooking, leaving hall staff free to focus on hospitality; the environment is described as friendly and informal with no rigid hierarchy. Two shift options run within the 18:00-00:00 window: a late evening slot (18:00-00:00) and a late-night slot (22:00-00:00). A 1-month training period at 1,250 yen applies before the standard rate of 1,300 yen; shifts from 22:00 attract the deep-night supplement (深夜手当 shinya-teate) of 25%, bringing the effective rate to 1,625 yen or above. Pay is given by hand in cash (手渡し tewatashi) on the 10th of the following month after month-end closing. Free staff meals are provided after each shift — a rotating seasonal menu cooked by the manager, and takeaway is also allowed. A hiring bonus of 5,000 yen is paid 6 months after joining.
