Job Description:
This is a hall staff role at Ramen Hissui (らーめん飛粋), a popular stylish ie-kei (家系) ramen restaurant in Kamata, Ota ward, Tokyo, just 3 minutes walk from Kamata Station on the Keihin-Tohoku Line. The restaurant uses a food ticket vending machine and automatic payment, so hall staff only need to ask customers about noodle firmness and flavour preference — no order-taking or cashier work is involved. Duties also include table clearing, surface wiping, and dishwashing (using a dishwasher); cooking is handled exclusively by permanent staff so no kitchen skills are needed. Two shift blocks are available: lunch (11:00-16:00) and dinner (17:00-22:00), with a minimum of 4 hours per shift and just 1 day per week required — ideal for students fitting work around classes or anyone wanting gap-filling income. A 3-month introductory rate of 1,400 yen applies, before the rate is renegotiated (minimum guaranteed 1,300 yen; up to 1,500 yen discussed at interview). Staff meals (まかない makanai) are provided — ramen from the restaurant's own menu — and transportation is fully covered. Hair colour, beards, piercings, and tattoos are all freely permitted.
Wage:
1,300円 (per hour) 3-month introductory rate: 1,400 yen. Rate renegotiated after 3 months (minimum 1,300 yen; up to 1,500 yen). Deep-night supplement (深夜手当 shinya-teate) applies for any hours past 22:00 at statutory rates. Salary increase system in place.
