Job Description:
This is a condominium caretaker and cleaning role at a residential building in Ikebukuro, Toshima ward, Tokyo, accessible from Ikebukuro Station (10 minutes walk) or Kita-Ikebukuro Station on the Tobu Tojo Line (11 minutes walk). Duties include morning rounds and rubbish collection, cleaning the entrance, corridors, stairs, windows, and bin areas, handling resident and visitor enquiries at the front desk, and completing a brief daily log — all tasks covered by detailed manuals with senior staff support from the outset. The shift structure alternates weekly: during weeks 1 and 3 you work 5 days (Monday and Thursday 07:00-10:00; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 07:00-09:00); during weeks 2, 4, and 5 you work 4 days (Monday to Thursday 07:00-10:00) — totalling approximately 12 hours per week. All shifts start at 07:00, finishing by 10:00 at the latest, leaving the rest of each day completely free.
