Job Description:
Work at Teppan Johnny (鉄板ジョニー), a lively teppan-yaki and izakaya in Haneda, Ota-ku, Tokyo, 3 minutes from Otori Station on the Keikyu Airport Line -- a local favourite known for its affordable steak (せんべろステーキ) and casual daytime drinking atmosphere. Hall and kitchen duties include store opening prep and vegetable cutting, customer seating and order taking, serving food, simple plating assistance, and table clearing; those who develop an interest in cooking can learn proper teppan-yaki grilling techniques over time. Shifts run within an 18:00 to 00:00 window (11:30-24:00 full store hours); as little as 4 hours per day and 1 day per week is fine, with at least one Friday, Saturday, or Sunday shift per week required. Working after 22:00 earns a statutory 25% deep-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate), bringing the rate to 1,625 yen per hour. Free staff meals (まかない makanai) are provided; hair colour, piercings, nail art, and hats are all permitted. No transportation allowance is paid -- the store is designed for those who live nearby and can walk or cycle.
