Job Description:
This is a hall and kitchen staff role at Donburi-ya Tatsumi, a Japanese comfort food restaurant in Nishi-Kojiya, Ota-ku, Tokyo, an 8-minute walk from Kojiya Station on the Keikyu Airport Line. The restaurant is known for its handmade Miyazaki-style chicken nanban, menchi katsu, and karaage — all recipes from the owner who is originally from Miyazaki. Hall duties include taking orders, serving food and drinks, cashier (touchscreen panel), and table clearing. Kitchen duties include grilling, plating, frying, and simple prep work such as cutting chicken to karaage size — easier than cooking at home, the owner says. You only need to wear the provided apron — all other clothing, hair colour, nails, piercings, and style are entirely free. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are available at 40% off the menu price (approximately 200-300 yen per meal), with full menu choice. Pay is monthly with cash-in-hand (手渡し tewatashi) option. A 100-hour training period applies. Must be able to work at least one day on Saturday or Sunday. High school graduates welcome; current high school students not permitted.
