Job Description:
This is a hall and kitchen staff role at Teuchisobakazuni, a handmade soba restaurant with 19 seats in the Yanagibashi area of Taito Ward, Tokyo, a 2-minute walk from Asakusabashi Station on the JR Sobu Line. Hall duties include customer service, serving food and drinks, cashier operations, and table clearing; kitchen duties include plating, preparing small dishes, and dishwashing — tasks are introduced gradually starting from table wiping and menu familiarisation. This is an intimate owner-operated restaurant where staff are encouraged to contribute ideas on layout and menu, making it a genuinely participatory environment for those interested in restaurant culture. The evening shift runs 17:00-22:00, with a minimum of 4 hours per shift and 2 days per week; Sunday is a regular day off, and schedules are coordinated by message 3 times a month. Free staff meals are provided (up to 2 meals for staff working a double shift), and pay is cash-in-hand (手渡し tewatashi). Foreign applicants require JLPT N1, a compatible residence status, and must bring a resident certificate and activity permission document to interview.
Wage:
1,300円 (per hour)
Salary increase based on performance (昇給 shoukyuu). Deep-night premium applies for any portion after 22:00 (statutory 1.25x).
